was this a good buy? Will this memory overclock well? I've never spent this much on memory, my hope is this will last me for a while. i've never overclocked either but when I decide to give it a try I'm hoping this memory will hold up well. So what so ya'll think??

yeah, it's good ram
how far will it overclock? that depends on a LOT. no two kits are the same, no two motherboards are the same, and the amount of time you put into tweaking usually determines the outcome

makes me feel much better about spending so much. This will be my first build in about 4 yrs . I can't wait till overclocking jargon is no longer sounds like a different language. I'll let ya'll know how it goes. Do you have any suggested reading for me? Overclocking guides? I've read a lot in this forum but it would help if I had a source with a general overview.

Current SLI boards for Core2 Duos aren't exactly stellar right now. You might end up maxing out the board before you max out the RAM.
