for any gamers out there, what are some good optical mice for gaming?

what's your personal favorite?

Also, I've been spoiled with my wireless, even though I know they are worse for gaming. Is there a "best" wireless as far as gaming is concerned?

Get a MX DUO from newegg for 70 bucks. Wireless mouse/keyboard. Or I think its the MX700? Performs pretty good and its good ergonomics. Thats the way to go I think

i have the mx 510 only sold at best buy not wireless but kicks butt. fastest response time for any mouse out there and comfortable, specifically made for games. 52 bucks w/ tax.

Yeah, the MX Duo is the best wireless KB/Mouse combo there is. Is worth the $20 more for the wireless KB. MX700 is like $55 on newegg and the comob is like $75.

I have them and like them pretty well but they arn't the best come LAN party time. Interference sometimes, since it seems to be a popular combination. I am looking to get the wired version of the KB, the Elite, and the MX510 soon. Also, wireless can disappear at larger LANs when you arnt looking.

the logitech mx 700 is NOT bad for gaming
it is one of the best mice out on the market and it is indeed the best wireless

i have an intellimouse optical, not as high class as yalls but its small and light and i can whip it around when i need to, perfect for my tastes

ive got a mx510 which replaced my previous favorite (ms explorer optical 3.0) and the 510 bar none owns. sure you can only get it at best buy....but it was worth every penny...especially since i pledged my ratpadz and put teflon tape on the feet :p\
think sex on silk

i have a ms optical intellamouse 1.1(5 butn, kicks ass for gaming, no acuracy probs. im afraid to use the mx series b.c ill get hooked and have to shell out 50-70 dollers for one, and id rather spend that on components

sounds like:

ms sucks
logitech rules

and everyone, or nearly everyone is in agreement

:) guess I know what I'm buying next. I mean, gotta see first hand if there is a noticeable difference...

the MS explorer 3.0 is actually really nice especially tefloned up :)
however i love my mx510

I currently jump back and forth between my Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical and Logitech Trackman Marble+ although I have an MX700 from Newegg on it's way here to replace the dual optical on my home rig. I'll finally have a decent mouse at work now.

MX Duo if your on a budget, because you'll get an absolutely awesome set for your money

If you have some cash to burn, check out the Logitech DiNovo set, it's in a class of it's own, but i love mine, great feel to it

I prefer the MX700 over the 500, but that's just because I like the feeling of moving something with some weight to it, but that's a personal preference

MX510 for wired/ MX700 for wireless. I vote for MX700.

I was wondering if I was the only one that liked to have some weight to their mouse. I haven't used the MX700 yet but that will be fixed soon after I get home tonight since FedEx dropped off my new stuff this morning, including my MX700.

You could always wait a few week or days for the Razer Viper mouse
www.razerzone.com

I'd buy a MX510 but in Canada,Quebec we don't have Best Buy
I might try Ebay but i think i'll pre-order a Razer Viper

ya man , i pre ordered a viper. ill see how i like it and if not ill just go to best buy

I have an MX700 (its for my HTPC that hasn't come home yet) but my old Boomslang2000s (I have 2) kick the shit out of it. There is no comparison IMO.

I have now been able to use my MX700 for a little while now. I will say that it's going to take some time to get used to it since I don't usually grip the mouse the way most people do. Since this thing is molded for the hand I'll actually have to get used to it again.

Other than that it is a damn fine mouse. It's much more precise and glides over the Ratpadz so much more smoothly than my Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical ever did. So, now I will be jumping back and forth between my MX700 and Trackman Marble+. The Dual Optical is going with me to work with my old Ratpadz GS.
