Good fan for horizontal mounting?

Was looking at some different fan options to replace all my Nexus RealSilent fans.

See that the new modular Sharkoon Silent Eagle SE fans have been getting some great reviews. Did a bunch of searching and all I can find is that the bearings are "Enduro" bearings.

Can anyone tell me what the bearing type is on these and if they are suitable to mount upside down inside the case top for exhausting hot air?

My Nexus is sleeve bearing and makes a bit of noise sometimes obviously....need to find something that is ball bearing.

Thanks, Shawn

Here's spec page with PDF specs:

After pulling up the pdf and zooming in, all I can figure out is that it is not ball bearing in any way shape or form. Some kind of modified sleeve bearing in which they are making a big deal about the circulation of lubricant. Perhaps that flow pattern is intended to overcome the typical issues with sleeve bearing fans in a horizontal postion ? /shrug. Interesting they show it laying down on its back in the drawing and product pictures. But perhaps that is because it has no balls just dimples. /wink wink.

just get a decent FDB (fluid dynamic bearing) fan. scythe kama-flex or the newer kama-flow2 series are great options.

i'm just a wee bit too cheap for the GTs. they are sweet, though.

Gentle Typhoons or go home (and they are not made by Scythe!) :)
