Guys. Any ideas for a good motherboard for overclocking with integrated video, that isn't too expensive? I splurged and picked up a 3200+ Barton in the FS/FT. I think I'll plunk that in my watercooled setup, but now I need a home for my 2500+ mobile. Since this overclocks well, I would like to put it in the right mobo.

For overclocking i'd reccomend a Abit NF7 series... the Abit NF7-M i believe has integrated video as well if you need that.

if i recall there was a problem with running the nforce2IGP boards at 400FBS with the onboard vid enabled (I know my shuttle mn31n won't work)

I thought that was the case too. Besides the op should be able to pick up a cheap vid card somewhere......maybe even get a cheap pci one donated to him in the swap thread.

but didn't he want "inexpensive, onboard vid, and overclockable?"

(and testing the toolbar icon)

Yeah but ocing is that important he may not ve able to get teh integrated video. Got t o sacrific sometimes.

What about a good overclocking socket A board and a shitty $10 PCI card? Why does it have to be onboard?

I've turned in over 50 WU's with the 2500+ mobile in question and it is at 2.3Ghz (470Mhz OC). The WU have all completed most satisfactorily. OC'ing to an unstable point is bad, I agree.

Agreed on the integrated video part. It's just simpler if it has integrated video, My shuttle NForce2IGP (SFF) board overclocks fine with integrated video, but I see the point. Any takers besides the NF7?

which shuttle do you have? my mn31n geeks out at anything above like 185ish

if you check out eBay, you can find a ton of 2 and 4MB PCI video cards (usually S3 Virge DX or something like that) for around $5-$10 (usually sold in lots of 5-20).

Same with old hard drives.
