1) The purpose of the PC is to play Starcraft 2 on Ultra smoothly
2) Budget is about 500 - 550 total.
3) i am starting from scratch so no parts will be reused.
4. Yes I will be over clocking the PC
5. Planning on getting a 21 inch screen
6. I dont really need raid, firewire or crossfire or SLI...this is a budget PC..the sole purpose is to play Starcraft 2 on ultra.
7. I would like to run the 64bit windows 7.

The CPU is probably have the most bang per buck under $100 dollars...i chose a decent CPU...Now i am just clueless on the mobo, ram, cd drive, power supply and case. I feel i can cut more but i dont know what to cut or which brands are reliable brands. uhmmm...any suggestions on the build? This build come out around $520...it would be awesoem if i can squeeze it down to $460.

Thanks a bunch!!!

Once you factor in shipping, this Coolermaster case costs the same as the Elite 310 but offers better cooling:
$50 - Cooler Master Elite 335 RC-335-KKN1-GP ATX Case

HDD wise, ditch that old and slow drive and go for this significantly faster hard drive:
$55 - Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

That DVD-ROM drive is seriously a stupid buy considering that you can get an actual DVD burner for $4 less:
$20 - LG iHAS124-04 DVD Burner

PSU wise, you skimped waay too much here already. Get this higher quality PSU instead:
$50 - Antec NEO ECO 400C 400W PSU

Also note that if you're planning on using those combo deals, you're gonna have to buy those parts before the end of August 31st since thats when those combo deals ends.

I would not recommend going below 4GB of RAM for SC2 since I've personally seen SC2 use up to 2GB of RAM in my gaming rig.
