Okay so here are the idea's I am playing around with. My current rig (see sig) is still running strong; however, there are a few things I want to upgrade such as, video card, motherboard, and hard drive(s). So I was thinking about one of the following:

Option 1: Keep current rig and just upgrade the motherboard, video, and HDD.

Option 2: Go ahead and rebuild with SB.

Obviously option 1 is cheaper, but that's not what I am concerned about. If I did decide to go SB I'm thinking it may end up being more of a side-grade than an upgrade. What do you guys think and why? Thanks!

Id wait until the new 2011 procs come out before ugprading. Your i7 is still going to be great for whatever you want.

All I would upgrade now is the vid card and the HDDs to get a SSD boot.

indeed wait least 6 month before upgread as they'll be better and faster chips are to come as time goes by.

I voted SB but didn't read the thread clearly enough. You should stay with what you got so change one of the SB votes to stay.

Sounds good. I'll just upgrade my hard drives and video card for now. Thanks.

Sell off and get sandy bridge for not much more and it'd be a win. Otherwise, wait a bit.

Not sure why you'd want to upgrade the motherboard if you're going to upgrade a few parts instead of going SB. The P6T Deluxe is a brilliant board.

Like others, why upgrade the MB?

I'm running a P6T DLX V2/950 set-up right now and, I too, had thoughts of replacing this MB for a Sabertooth X58 since it has so many great reviews.
However, Even though the SBX58 has USB3 and SATA6, I think it lacks that little Splashtop SSD (more like a flash chip). From my experience, that little feature saved me quite a bit of late shows at work in the morning when there's a need to retrieve critical E-mail. My cellular service isn't really great around here.

I love this board...very stable and reliable.
