Planning to do another giveaway. Looking for some ideas on what kind of hardware everyone around here could use to the most. So............. tell me what you want the most (within reason) and we'll see what I come up with.

I think GPUs are overall the most useful hardware for folders right now, although giving those away would be a bit pricey.
 
In my case, I have a couple open GPU slots, so I could use those :D. Or a decent dual-core 939 CPU, heh.
 
GPUs or more powerful AM3 CPUs (currently stuck with 4450e X2s) :)

Got one 8800 GTS 320 with busted cooler which would require either a new cooler or some RAM/VRM TIM pads to fix and put back to work. I can't run my new GTX275 24/7 either because it's too noisy. A 3rd-party cooler would allow me to fold 24/7 :)

If possible, putting a slow 120mm fan at the back of the computer / side near the back would help lower the temps, and then you could lower the gpu fanspeen in rivatuner.

Currently I got 2 80 mm fans and the PSU's 140 mm fan near the GPU for exhaust. Still runs 85C load :( Case only allows for 80 mm fans as well. Can add one more for exhaust, but that's the limit.
 
Okay, then grab a hole saw and make some new fan mounts. Or just settle for something inexpensive. Regardless of the quality of the case, cooling is a big problem with older cases, and it might be worth switching to a cheap case with better airflow if only for that reason.

There is no space to add a 120 mm hole :) I could relegate the case to become a server case next year or so, but unless I were to win the lottery tomorrow I'm sticking with it :p
 
can't you just keep the side open and tie wrap a fan? :p Hey, I'm running opterons and i7 with AM2 heatsinks, show some ghetto mod love! :D
The noise may come from the 80mm fans too, they are noisy for the air they push.
Like others said, you might want to consider another case if budget permits, the Antec 300 sometimes goes for $50 shipped, comes with a 250mm fan and 2x120mm fans (space for 2 more). You end up with a cooler, quieter system.
 
If you removed, say, 3 of the 5.25" covers, could you then fit in a monster intake fan?

I bought 2 of them and love them.
One has 4 - 9800GX2's and the other has 4 - GTX 275's.

I'd love to get another case, but I splurged my entire budget for the coming months on this GTX275, so unless I get rich all of a sudden there's no chance I'll be upgrading any more hardware :(

It's one reason why I'm posting in this thread, else I'd already have bought the stuff :p
