Same info on what I'm looking for;

Something quiet and stays cool. I dont really OC much but I will if its easy. It usually is for video cards but I'm not a big OCer. On paper the Gigabyte seems better, but I'd figure I'd ask.

Went with the ASUS = Best bang for buck.

725/1000 ASUS vs 765/1000 clocks for the Gigabyte, $319 ASUS, $309 Gigabyte, it seems more bang for the buck had you bought the other one.

ASUS is the better overclocker.

Gigabyte have a more factory overclock, looks better and cheaper

i have the gigabyte. very quiet. Seems built well. Spent my money well. Be sure if you buy it from the egg to use kyles 5850 search!!!
