I am planning to buy Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P and FX-8320, the motherboard is a 4+1 phase power (digital power), i'm not going to overclock so is it safe to use fx-8320 without any throttling or risk of burning vrm?

I have checked the motherboard 970A-D3P rev 1.0 Gigabyte link and it seems to support FX 8320 125W CPU.

I have one thats running 4 GPU's for me using risers. I haven't hooked up a 5th but yet but its pretty decent

Honestly? I say wait till a new Rev comes out. Their NBs get quite hot with just alum. heatsink on them. Much like their 990-based boards, let them wise up and put heatpipe cooling on them first.

Get the 970A-UD3P which is the newest gen of this board with 8+2 power phases and better heatsinks.
