Right now I connected HD audio cord to the F_AUDIO pins on my motherboard, the p35-DS3R. The audio cable on the case has a 10 pin connector labled HD audio, a 10 pin connector labled AC97, Currently, I have installed the HD audio drivers from realtek, but there is still no reaction when I plug in the jack. Normally, when I plug in a jack from the back of my case, my computer reacts. Can anyone help?

use the AC97 connector and see if it works.

The proper thing to do is to look for the slip of paper that came with the case that you threw away (the manuf web site might have the information) that has the pinout of those two connectors and compare it to the pinout of the pins on the motherboard found in the manual. That will tell you which connector is correct and if it is wired correctly to plug right in or if some pins in the connector need to be moved.

I don't believe our enthusiast board have true HD sound.

A post in the computer audio forum might be helpful as well as providing the maker and model number of the case and the model number of the motherboard.
