Gigabyte DS3 and RAID 0 Problems

I have a E6400@3.2 on a Gigabyte DS3 motherboard. I just recently purchased 2 Seagate 320G 7200.10 for RAID 0, but having some odd problems. The RAID0 is divided into 3 parrtition. When the harddrive is being accessed extensively, the mouse cursors skips. Also, when I'm playing WOW in windows mode, and have GrabIt(newsgroup downloading software), the framerate drops significantly when the files are being decrypted in Grabit(harddrive is being access extensively). This never happened when I had a single IDE Seagate 200MB harddrive before. I ran benchmarks on the harddrive using Sandra and one another program and it was on par with other RAID0 300SATA setups. Also, I did have lot of problems getting my DVD-ROM to work after installing the RAID on the purple SATA controller. Any idea on how to approach this problem or had similar experience?

Any reason you're using the Jmicron (purple) plugs for RAID? Can't you run them on the Intel (orange) plugs even with the ICH8 (non R). I have the board, but I never looked into it (haven't run RAID in a few years...wasn't worth it).

Anyway, the Jmicron controller controlls both the purple SATA and the IDE port. That might be why you're experiencing some difficulty with your DVD drive and RAID being used at the same time.
 
Shannanigins. I have raid 0 w/ 2 sata raptors and it lags like hell when it's processing files in grabit. Sounds normal to me.
