Getting weird text where images should be...

FYI, when this happens, it seems to get stuck loading the page. At the bottom of Firefox, it either says "transferring data from hardforum.com" or "transferring data from http://www.w3.org" or something to that effect.
 
FYI, I'm still experiencing this problem.

It says "transferring data from www.google-analytics.com" for a few seconds, then loads the page looking exactly like the above screenshot.

Any recommendations?
 
That looks like the alt text for the images and the images are not loading so that is what you see instead.
 
Would that be a problem on my end or [H]?

FWIW, I'm on Verizon FIOS.

Noticed that it also happens on computers at work. This is using either IE 7 or Firefox. Connection at work is Comcast.

Any clues or insight what's causing this? It's getting really annoying.
