Getting a weak maximum overclock with e8400

I'm currently using these voltages, which I don't want to exceed for obvious reasons.

CPU Voltage 1.4350v
SB Voltage: 1.2v
NB Voltage 1.55v
RAM Voltage 2.2v

At cas4 timings on my RAM, the highest stable fsb I can get is 415, giving me 3.74ghz (temps 75/72 full load on each core). I'm happy with this, but I think it's a bit dissapointing that I can't push further. I've tried dropping the timings down to cas5, but the system isn't even stable at 420 fsb. Am I doing something wrong?

Find the max speed the motherboard and memory will do with stock/recommended voltages first, then move onto overclocking the CPU.
That way you will know what is bottlenecking.

Clock memory and cpu as low as possible and find the max fsb.
Next keep cpu slow and find the max memory speed.
Then find the max cpu speed once you know the max memory and motherboard speeds so you know if anything is limiting you.

I should say that i'm using 4GB PC2-8500 RAM (same brand I have in my sig), which runs perfectly at 1066mhz cas5 with the cpu in asynchronus mode. So the memory should be fine. As you can see in my sig i've got a popular high-quality overclocking mobo so I don't think that will be the problem either. The only thing I can think of is that I gave the cpu close to 1.5v when I was playing around a few weeks ago, and that might have done some damage.

Did you adjust you FSB NB strap? You might be running your memory too fast or you might have bad memory. Try running it 1:1.

I just checked and I have set the strap from 400mhz to auto for some reason. I've set it back to 400 to see if that will help things.
