Hey all, this is my first thread on these forums, and I apologise if I posted in the wrong forum, but I have several questions that span rather widely so I thought hardware may be appropriate.
1. I'll pick an example: GA-Z97X-Gaming GT
On the back panel description for the USB 3.0 ports, it lists 2 of them belonging to the chipset, while 4 more belongs to a Renesas USB 3.0 Hub. My question is, is there an easy way to find out, from the specs alone, if those USB ports have shared bandwidth? Because on some other Mobos (I can't remember from my top of head which) have stated that it has 2 such hubs for the same number of USB ports, hence my confusion.
2. I plan to build a rig that is going to use 2 MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G cards (though I have zero plans to use anymore GPU's in the same rig), and I am working entirely on air cooling, no plans to mess around with Liquid cooling. I have been thinking of a Lian Li case:http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/pc-7h/
It has 2 fans in the front, one at the back with options for 2 more at the top and one at the side. Although it appears that the drive bay will get in the way of the second GPU, it is removeable (which may work in favor of cooling), and I can instead install my Harddrives and SSD into the 5.25" bays.
Is a case like that good enough to cool two GPU's and a CPU?\
3. Lastly, would overclocking cause any noticeable damage to either GPU or CPU, assuming that I fix the voltage at stock, and keep my temperature level or below that at stock level?
Thanks a lot in advance!
