GVX said:FX series may have been poor performers but there is one awsome thing about the FX series: the FX 5700le. This card, AFAIK, is the fastest solution that PCI graphics users have available to them. People whine about not enough cards being made for the AGP slot while there are tons of potential gamers out there with onboard graphics and no AGP/PCIe slots who would love to have a nice video card.
So, in a way, the Geforce FX series actually provides the best possible gaming performance to a whole market segment of gamers.

It should perform approximately the same as the 9600XT; which still plays games fine....at 640x480Stereophile said:Does a 5700le even play new games though ? Somehow I doubt it.
If you're stuck with regular PCI graphics it's high time to upgrade !

I'm starting to feel bad about myself. Have I lost the ability to provide reputable information?

I suppose if you lowered the pixel shaders to 1.4 modern games, they would likely still be playable on most FX cards.
