Nevermind. My friend decided to save some money and get a GTX 660 instead.

All kind of mid tower case its more than fair enough to fit a GTX 670, in fact i was able to put a 660ti FTW, a 670FTW and 680 FTW, all same lengh and same long PCB in a case thermaltake v4 and thermaltake commander and those case are tiny mid towers... And still was fair enough space between the HDD bays and the card of like 5-7cm..... I was even possible to fit one of those card in a HP-DX2400 micro tower case...

My Gigabyte WindForce 3 GTX 670 OC is right about 10.5 inches long when taking into account the fan shroud that extends beyond the PCB. The PCB itself is exactly the same as a reference gtx 680's.
 
I've got a 660 as well as a 670, both evga superclocked edition, they appear to have the same dimensions.
