I've been gearing up for an overdue upgrade, and have been getting pretty excited about upgrading my Geforce 285 to a new Geforce 660 later this month.
However, I just received an unexpected gift of a Geforce 295. This is roughly 2x as good as my 285, and "theoretically" compares very favorable vs a 680!

Is there any truth to this?
I know the 295 will have me missing out on some delicious new tech, like tri-monitor output, DX11, tessellation, and the new AA modes... but it can also delay a GPU/CPU update for a full generation.
