Gearbox have been torturing fans with hints about a new Borderlands game for years, but it looks like an official announcement could be about two weeks away. Gearbox's official Twitter account recently posted a cell shaded sign with the words "March 28 Boston MA," which lines up with the company's scheduled event at PAX East. We still don't know much about what is presumably Borderlands 3, but Gearbox's marketing team have been constantly posting Borderlands-related material throughout 2019.

Ranndy Pitchford (Gearbox CEO): I am excite

It's hardly killing me. The game is at least a year away from retail release, so at this point i's jst more tormenting us with videos of demos/trailers.

They've already forced me to wait thanks to the shitpile that was Battleborn, and now I can wait another year.

I'm going back to playing Apex Legends, which has the small cooperative squad aspects of Battlefield 2 coop, and you can actually play it now :D

I'm worried. Other than Borderlands, Gearbox has never made a good game. Randy Pitchford seems like he's going off the deep end. And this game is 3 or 4 years overdue so who knows if any of the people responsible for the first 2 games are even still at Gearbox.

Here's hoping they don't just rehash Borderlands 2 with a new map. I thoroughly enjoyed BL1 and 2 when they launched, but the Pre-Sequel proved that they can't just take BL2 and add some new characters and a map and expect it to be as good as the previous titles.

The space thing and oxygen pretty much ruined that game for me it was so annoying. And the environment just felt empty (i know its the moon).

All I want is the graphic violence of 1, the guns of 1 and 2, mixed with the heroes and story of 2.

Your calling Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines bad?!? /s

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition wasn't bad, nor was Blue Shift for HL IMO. Never played Homeworld or Brothers in Arms.

BL3 and Doom Eternal are the only 2 things I'm truly excited for, hoping we'll see both sometime this year (I know, BL3 this year might be a bit of a stretch)

Reserving my excitement as I have a feeling this game may have been heavily motivated by politics as was the direction of the pre sequel and supposed recent hiring practices at gearbox. Too much of this happening in games lately.

I just want to be a fake person (of my choosing) that blows crap up while taking an actual mental break from reality.

I thought Bulletstorm was People Can Fly. Didn't play Blue Shift. Homeworld remastered wasn't their game, it was a remaster, and it was buggy as shit for me.

Bulletstorm was, but the Full Clip edition was a remaster by Gearbox.

Yeah, I just tried replaying through the pre sequel, and the stupid fetch quests are so much more annoying in low gravity.

I mean, stuff that breaks-up into a half-dozen pieces and is a LITTLE annoying to gather all the pieces of in the original game. But it turns into a two hour search in the pre-sequel, because many pieces take a (literal) moon-shot. Of course I can't replay it without giving up in frustration.

Well Bulletstorm was Epic and People can fly. Gearbox bought the rights and released it.

Was talking about the remaster- Full Clip Edition and EA and People can Fly still own the license, Gearbox just helped them create the remaster.

Remastered version[edit]
Materials provided by Microsoft to the press ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 in June of that year included images that were claimed by the press of Bulletstorm with improved graphics, though Microsoft declined to comment, nor was any announcement of the game made at that time. According to Eurogamer, a reliable Brazilian retailer has included a listing for a remastered version of Bulletstorm to be released on Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in 2017; Gearbox Software is set to publish the title.[21] The remastered version was revealed during The Game Awards 2016 in December. Entitled the "Full Clip Edition" and being published by Gearbox Software, the remastered version is set for release on April 7, 2017 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The remastered version will increase texture resolution and include support for 4K resolutions on Windows and the PlayStation 4 Pro, and will include additional content created by People Can Fly. This includes the Overkill Campaign Mode, which starts the players with access to all the game's weapons, and six new Echo maps. Those that preorder the game get access to the Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour downloadable content, allowing players to play as Duke Nukem with a re-recorded script and new voice lines recorded by Jon St. John.[22] Gearbox' Randy Pitchford explained that the remastered version will not be a free update for those that already own the game on the Windows platform, as the license is still held with Electronic Arts and they only secured the rights to help People Can Fly create the remaster, in addition to issues in transitioning from the discontinued Games for Windows Live platform.[23]

If the cell-shading wasn't enough of a hint, I also noticed the exit number "3"! Can't wait!

As I've said before... I'm not really invested unless there's innovation. These days a shooter is a shooter is a shooter. Adding loot doesn't change anything.

Wasn't really a remaster just a rerelease, the only thing added was Duke nukem, that I am aware of, the only reason they did it was because the original version had games for Windows live DRM.

I'll do a hard pass on any mobile game. But if they have a true successor to bl2, then it will be a goty for sure. Game was so funny, and fun to play.

Only fps games I can stand to play is borderlands and Bioshock.

I loved the cel shading, how well it ran and the humor esp weapons on the first one. But didn't play 2 for some reason
I'm probably steering off topic but interestingly, Borderlands wasn't cel shaded, the textures were all hand drawn to look that way and the end result was a cel shaded look without the washed out colors. Just a fun fact I guess, I love the way Borderlands looked.
