Hey all! I've got a product that I'm considering prototyping, and maybe selling, but I don't know if there's much of a market for it, so I'm trying to get a feel for that.

Basically, it would be a DIY version of the standalone liquid coolers available from Alphacool and Koolance. This product would have a relatively small desk footprint, but allow you to use your own choice of radiator/fans/pump/reservoir. Aesthetically, it will be in the "show off your hardware" camp, with all the components exposed and a very skeletonized look. The advantage would be that the only stuff you need to fit inside the case would be your blocks and tubing. A PCI slot cover bulkhead would manage the power/control/coolant exchange between cooler and PC.

The target market would be HTPCs, and other instances where you've got a case that you like but that doesn't support watercooling very well. I could also see it being useful for equipment reviewers.

I think a sub-$100 price point should be attainable, too, but I'm not positive on that. I'm in a place where the type of fabrication I'd need for manufacture is very accessible.

What do you guys think? Would you be interested in a product like this?
