Looking for a new build to game and work on. Need your thoughts/ideas - been a while since I built my last one.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc Gaming (not hardcore - casual), work (lots of spreadsheets), photoshop - casual user, streaming video, some web design.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? hard to say - can be $1500 or so I suppose -
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible. Small town California - online ordering for everything
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. CPU, Motherboard, Case, GPU, PSU, RAM, BR-Burner
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Crucial M550 256GB SSD, 2 Kingston V300 120GB SSD (not sure if I'll use those or not) Seagate Barracude 1TB 7200 rpm HD
6) Will you be overclocking? Most likely not
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it? Currently 2 Dell 24" 2407's running 1920 x 1200 - adding 2 more 27" running 2560x1440 - would like to run all 4 but may just run the 2 new ones
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?Now
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.Crossfire or SLI for future maybe, USB3 and SATA 6 ,Perhaps RAID but not needed.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit? Windows 7 Pro 64bit

Here is what I've been looking at but need your thoughts please:
Case: NZXT Phatom ATX Full Tower -
Optical: Any BR-Burner
SSD: Crucial M550 256gb (already have this)
Storage Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM Sata drive (already have this)
CPU: Intel i7-4790 (do I need/want the k?)
Motherboard: not sure - maybe Asrock Fatal1ty H97
RAM: 16gb of ?
Video Card: GTX 970 but which one? or 2?
Power Supply: No idea
Monitors: 27" 2560x1440 x 2 - open to ideas on these as well - not going super high end - just a decent screen - this is NOT INCLUDED IN MY BUDGET.

Please let me know what you think.

Monoprice has a 28" 4k 60hz panel on sale today for 399$ also their 27" 2560x1440 monitors get pretty good reviews. Additionally if you have a microcenter the Auria 27" 2560 screens are pretty good.

As far as the system again with MC if you have one you get the 4790k for $250 with 40 off a mobo so worth checking out.

As far as other stuff 16gb is a nice /must for me.
the bdr 30AR here

Personally the 970gtx is great but the lowest I have seen them is $320, the 290x at 260AR to me is a way better value if you see it.

Since you're not planning on overclocking, the regular 4790 is fine. Your choice of motherboard is fine as well.

RAM wise, get this ASAP as its normal price is $160 and it's being sold for $124:

Video card wise, get the cheapest GTX 970 from Asus, eVGA, MSI, or Gigabyte.

As for the PSU, this is my go-to PSU recommendation:
$80 - Seasonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W Modular PSU

Might as well get the 4790k as it's on sale for $5 cheaper than the 4790 on newegg and amazon.

Awesome advice guys - I snagged that ram and am looking at the k now - psu next - No microcenter near me... So bummer there.
