Hello,

First time poster, but I filled out the questions from the sticky.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Gaming, Web Browsing, Virtualization for lab environments(Microsoft Server) .

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

$2,500 USD tax and shipping included.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Motherboard, CPU, CPU fan, RAM, Graphics Card, SSD, Hard Drive Storage, Case, Case Fans, PSU,Monitors, Speakers, Blu-Ray drive. (I am not including the monitors and speakers in the budget price, but will list what kind I am looking at getting and would appreciate feedback!)

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

I currently have no monitors for the comptuer I plan to buy. But I am looking at getting either 3

Dell U2412M monitors or ASUS PA248Q monitors. I am looking at 3 for the extra space but am not against using 2 larger, or one really big one.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

The end of Dec 2013 or Jan 2014.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.

RAID, SATA 6GB/s, would like wireless option if it's stable. Dual NIC would be nice.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

I am going to get Windows 8 64 bit Professional.

HD: Am looking into either a pure HDD, an HDD/SSD hybrid or possibly a NAS.
Case: Need some suggestions
Case Fans: Need some suggestions
Monitors: Dell U2412M or ASUS PA248Q. I like the ASUS for the connections, but I've read it has backlight bleed issues more so than the Dell.
Speakers: Audioengine A5+ and the Audioengine D1

Also any reason why you picked that motherboard specifically? Anything in particular? You can definitely get a cheaper motherboard.

Definitely agree with your CPU/ CPU cooler
 
As far as the mobo goes I was actually up in the air on quite a few. The model you are referring to has one less PCI Express 3.0 slot than the one I posted, but that certainly isn't a deal killer for me and saves me money.

I like the dual NICs and the wireless on this mobo. I am kinda stuck needing a form of wireless since my router is downstairs, but If I have to I may buy 2 new AC routers to get around that. The one thing that worries me about the higher end mobos with the various heat pipes and what not is fitting the bigger CPU fans on them. I don't build often, and I don't buy parts often so I can't test these things out.

I'm open to suggestions on mobos though.
 
Hold off on the build till end of the month, maybe able to save a bit of money once the new AMD cards are out, as Nvidia cards may or may not drop their prices.

Either way, you can get away with a 750/760W PSU, since you have not indicated any desire to do SLI.

Here is a link to a build I did a couple of weeks ago, it is very similar to the things you've indicated, noting that a few of you're choices make you're build cheaper and leave some room to buy monitors as well.

I don't plan on doing the build until the end of the year or beginning of next, so hopefully any price drops that may happen will happen :D.

I was going for the 850 PSU for future expansion. But I may drop to the 750 one.

You're planning this build list way too early as our parts recommendations tend to change monthly due to pricing and availability. So come back when you're 1-2 weeks away from buying the parts to ask for advice. At this point in time, you're not helping yourself by planning so early.
 
With that said, juding from current trends, it might be a good idea for you to buy RAM right now since they've been going in price over the past year. So by the time you buy, it may be close to $400 for that much RAM.
