Hello,
First time poster, but I filled out the questions from the sticky.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, Web Browsing, Virtualization for lab environments(Microsoft Server) .
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$2,500 USD tax and shipping included.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Woodstock, GA
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Motherboard, CPU, CPU fan, RAM, Graphics Card, SSD, Hard Drive Storage, Case, Case Fans, PSU,Monitors, Speakers, Blu-Ray drive. (I am not including the monitors and speakers in the budget price, but will list what kind I am looking at getting and would appreciate feedback!)
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
No parts will be re-used
6) Will you be overclocking?
Maybe
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
I currently have no monitors for the comptuer I plan to buy. But I am looking at getting either 3
Dell U2412M monitors or ASUS PA248Q monitors. I am looking at 3 for the extra space but am not against using 2 larger, or one really big one.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
The end of Dec 2013 or Jan 2014.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
RAID, SATA 6GB/s, would like wireless option if it's stable. Dual NIC would be nice.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I am going to get Windows 8 64 bit Professional.
The parts I was looking at are as follows:
$349.99 - Motherboard: ASUS Z87-Deluxe (I'm not dead set on this motherboard am open to suggestions).
$149.99 - PSU:Corsair HX Series HX850
$339.99C - PU: Intel i7-4770K
$77.99 - CPU Fan: Noctua DH-14 (I'm not against water cooling i've just never done it. Suggestions are welcome).
$309.99 - RAM: G.Skill RipJaws X series Memory Model F3-1600C9Q-32GXM
$429.99 - Graphics Card: Asus GTX770
$339.99 - SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 2.5 500 GB
HD: Am looking into either a pure HDD, an HDD/SSD hybrid or possibly a NAS.
Case: Need some suggestions
Case Fans: Need some suggestions
Monitors: Dell U2412M or ASUS PA248Q. I like the ASUS for the connections, but I've read it has backlight bleed issues more so than the Dell.
Speakers: Audioengine A5+ and the Audioengine D1
$79.99 - Blu-Ray Drive:LG Black 16X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 12X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner WH16NS40 OEM
The price below doesn't include the case or case fans, and I'm not including monitors or speakers in that either. So I have a couple hundred for the case, fans, and HD suggestions
Total: 2,077.92
Thanks for any suggestions!
