Gaming PC $800-1200

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Primarly gaming, but will also web browse and watch movies.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I'm looking to spend between 800-1200$ before taxes....I have no problem getting up into the 1200$ area so long that the computer would be significantly better then a 800$ pc.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
USA, Arizona, Glendale, Frys electronics near by but I would prefer to buy stuff online..

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word
"Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

I don't need any peripheals or Windows factored into the cost. Just
cpu, cpu cooling, mobo, memory, gpu, psu, case? cd/dvd burner..hope i got everything there
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

6) Will you be overclocking?

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it
1920x1080 w/ a 23 inch monitor

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
actually I'm hoping to purchase it by this week, maybe friday or sat

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I don't particularly care, I just want to be able to run new games very well..

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

- I don't trust AsRock as their quality has been inconsistent to say the least. I'd stick with the Gigabyte for the higher chance of reliability and better customer support.
- Which Mushkin RAM is he talking about?
- The GTX 670 is a good card. If you want to spend the extra cash, this is where you should spend it.
- The Samsung is faster than most Seagate drives. If the Hitachi drive your friend recommended is the 7K1000.D HDS721010DLE630, it is faster than the Samsung. Entirely up to you if the longer warranty + higher performance is worth the significantly higher chance of issue.
- Definitely get the SSD if you can afford it. It's gonna make a huge difference in performance.
- I don't factor in MIR. So that PC P&C is stil $76 (assuming that you can use the promo code) to me. However at that price, it's a good deal.
- That case looks cool but the case is just too cramped and its cable management isn't all that great.

MIR = Mail-in-rebate. It's decent.

You would be happy with any of those cases IMO. Just pick the one you like the look of the most.
