I’m thinking about building a SFF gaming rig and wanted to know what you think. I’m not sure if this is even possible so let me know what you think.

Im currently in the process of building an htpc with the same case and have extended half of the power supply through the case. It gives me a little more space inside the case right above the cpu. I got the idea from the Lian Li power supply extender (PE-01). I will also have to cut a hole in the side to allow the video card to breath. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.
 
Well, the PCI-e slot operates at 4x, so you're not going to get full performance out of the graphics card. Also, while a 95w processor is supported, some people have reported stability problems when the system has been under high load for a while, most likely due to voltage regulator module issues on board. It could have been due to lack of proper ventilation though. A 65w or less processor is still recommended, even by the J&W techs. The board only has 3 phase power for the CPU.
 
The components you've chosen are fine (not sure how well that heatsink will fit tho). Depending on how soon you're building the system you could hold out for the Zotac - GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi. It's a socket 775 based mATX board with an x16 slot (16x electrically as well, unlike the minix) and takes regular DIMMs (it also accepts 4GB sticks).

According to TR release is supposed to be sometime in February with pricing around $140USD.
 
I'd definitely wait for that as well.. It appears to be a true mini-ITX 2.0 offering.
 
Silverstone and Lian Li prepares new ITX cases. Sugo SG-05 and Lian Li-Q7. I recomnded you to wait.
