Ok I'm looking into a new upgrade so here it is. :) I like ASUS so thats what I'm sticking with.

-- ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

-- eVGA 256-P2-N376-AX Geforce 6800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-Express x16 Video Card

-- AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego Integrated into Chip FSB 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor

-- CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) -Dual Channel Kit System Memory

-- Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 73GB 10,000 RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive

Two 6600 GTs will outpreform a 6800. And you get that extra bling factor, for having two vid. cards... :D

You can buy two 6600GTs now or get one 6800GT for the same price, leaving yourself the option of going dual 6800GTs later.

get a 6800 Gt and when you feel like it..or whatever get another .. 2 6600Gt in Sli in my mind is a waste of time

I'd get the 6800GT (this coming from someone who had 6600GT's in SLI). Unless you're benching for 3dmark scores or something, 6600GT's will be marginally better or slower than 1 6800GT. Plus with only 1 card you don't have to worry about driver profiles, widescreen issues, and anything else that only pops up while using SLI.

Thats what I'm thinking.

Thanks guys... I'm going with the eVGA 256-P2-N376-AX Geforce 6800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI-Express x16 Video Card. And later when price drops I can get another.

I'm planning on buying something very similar. Ever looked into BFG cards? They come with a lifetime warranty, and are pre-overclocked.
