Power supply: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 High Performance 650W - 99.99

Motherboard: ASRock P67 Extreme4 - 169.99 (164.99 after 5 mail in rebate)

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K - 209.99

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB - 69.99

Video card: EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked - 354.99 (314.99 after 40 mail in rebate)

SSD: Intel 510 Series 120GB - 269.99 (239.99 after 30 mail in rebate)

HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 7K3000 2TB - 99.99

Optical drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST - 24.99

Monitor: Asus VE247H, 23.6" - 179.99 (169.99 after 10 mail in rebate)

That adds up to around $1620 which will be $1830 after taxes and $1745 after all the rebates.

Anything I can do to improve this?

I recommend ditching the AsRock mobo since it only has a one year warranty. If you really want a Z68 mobo, go for an Asus or MSI Z68 mobo. Maybe a Gigabyte Z68 if it has the onboard video outputs.
 
Looks like the only big differences between Z68 and P67 are SSD caching and a IGP which I probably won't be using. Maybe I should just go with one of these P67 boards:

Asus P8P67 LE - 139.99
Asus P8P67-M PRO - 144.99
ASRock P67 Extreme4 - 169.99 (164.99 after 5 mail in rebate)

Some of these Asus boards seem to get a lot of bad reviews on Newegg so I'm not sure about them.
 
get the vanilla stock Asus P8P67 mobo... I have used it and its excellent, its very stable and sufficient.
 
Go for the MSI P67 motherboards instead. I don't recommend the Asrock P67 mobo at all due to its two year warranty if you buy it before the 30th
 
I would go with the MSI P67 motherboard as well. Mine has been working out great for me.

It looks like the 570 and the 6970 are pretty closely matched in most games. You could save some money by going with a 6950 that would unlock to a 6970 with a softmod, or just purchasing a 6970.
 
Canada Computers, which is his choice of vendor does not carry MSI boards.

I wouldn' t see that as a deal breaker personally but to each their own.:p
 
Some of the Gigabyte boards look good but no UEFI is disappointing.

I just noticed lots of these motherboards don't have internal headers for USB 3.0 which the HAF 932 case needs for the front panel 3.0 slots to work.
