Gaming Computer at ~600$

EDIT: Dammit. My family found out about Hybrid CrossfireX. Now they're wanting me to ask you guys if it lowers the power consumption (They believe that you can turn off and on the discrete graphics card with it). Not sure if it's true or not. Can anyone confirm?
Hybrid CrossfireX only worked with extremely low-end and older ATI cards. It did not allow you to turn off the video card whatsoever.

The only technology that allowed you to turn off the video card was Nvidia's Hybrid Power aspect of Nvidia's Hybrid SLI. However, that would require you to get older and significantly more costlier hardware in order to use. Not to mention that the GTX 460 has no mention whatsoever of supporting Nvidia's Hybrid Power. Sadly the GTX 460 is the cheapest best bang for the buck Nvidia card out now. In fact, Hybrid power support was removed back in 2009. So even if you did get the hardware necessary for Hybrid Power, it still may not work correctly or provide the full amount of performance.

So in other words, the potential power savings are not worth the significantly higher costs or the significantly lower performance.

God, just buy this shit, why are you letting your family make these hardware choices? Do they have advanced knowledge of today's current hardware? Because it seems like they don't... This thread is 5 pages of you accepting a build then someone in your family says its bad and then you come back and change your mind. Either take our advice or don't...

Calmete friend. It's a long process considering that the OP does not control the money.

But you're right that this is frustrating. Also 5 pages? Damn that's a lot. Good thing I got "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" option in the Edit Options section set to 40 posts. Makes for a quicker reading :)

@Danny Bui: Thanks for the info.
@Shadowssong: It's kinda hard when they're Asian and my mom's an asian teacher. (Trust me, Asian teachers are scary as shit). They'd whip me if I said something like that to them

LOL!

Anyway, both our builds are very compatible. However my build is the better deal. Not the kind of person that does this but I got to point this out: Check out how many posts I have. Check my post history. That should tell you that I know something about doing a compatible and proper build. This is your first build. Who's more reputable?

/end thread. OP you must understand, Danny is the king of gen hard. Myself and a few others have learned a lot about our recommendations from what HE recommends, so when he recommends it directly then its about as good as it gets.

After 81 posts and 1,001 views, I have gotten my builds down. Thanks guys.

Go with Danny Bui's build, as you get a much better processor for a bit more. And while you do "save" some money with a mail-in rebate, it will take a few weeks, at least, before you see the "savings."

By the way, I want to see some quality pics... at least 1600x1200, with no blur.
