Hi there. :)

I'm wanting to build a new computer, primarily will be used for gaming, web surfing, watching movies & youtube-like videos. I'd like to have as little lag while playing games as possible. I mainly play MMO's & I'd like to be able to play with the best settings that my budget will allow me to. lol :)

1.) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
A.) Gaming, web browsing, photoshop, viewing a lot of streaming videos.

2.) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
A.) $1,200.00, including tax and shipping.

3.) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
A.) U.S. Oklahoma - No access to a Microcenter.

4.) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
A.) MoBo, CPU, RAM, Case, SSD (if possible), Video Card, cooling.

5.) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model
A.) 800W PSU, dvd burner, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, 1TB samsung hdd.

6.) Will you be overclocking?
A.) Don't know anything about overclocking.. I know what it IS, but not how to do it.

7.) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
A.) HP 2511x - 1920x1080 / 25" monitor

8.) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
A.) This weekend, by Sunday night.

9.) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
A.) Wifi preferred & would like to be able to add multiple hard drives for storage.

10.) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
A.) Yes. Windows 7 home premium 64bit.

Just how much photoshop do you do? Like what's your typical Photoshop usage look like?

What 800W PSU do you have? Is that DVD burner SATA?

to answer your questions:

i do photoshop & in-design for a few hours a day. more of a hobby now than a job. lol :)

in regards to the psu, i don't recall.. so i can get something else. i'd go look, but frankly, i'm being lazy, and it just dawned on me that haswell is out now, and i want to get a new haswell processor.. so i probably really need a new psu anyway. lol

yep, the dvd burner is SATA. but i can get a new one of those, too if i need to. 20 bucks really isn't going to make my eyeballs bleed or anything. lol :)

alrighty, sorry for the delay in responding. ended up having a very busy (unexpectedly) weekend.

i can buy the computer by this sunday.
 
Please find what PSU you have since you may have a PSU that's good enough for this Haswell build and therefore save you $80 that can be better spent elsewhere on the system.
 
it's not been bad thus far, but i read some reviews on amazon & it's got a lot of negatives.

just out of curiosity, how are the warranties on these manufacturer's products?.. i heard that xfx had a lifetime warranty on theirs.

also, how much more would i need to spend to get a water cooling system?.. and which one would you recommend? --- i am fine with air cooling, but i've been browsing the threads in various sections of this forum & see all these really pretty water cooled systems & i'd like to learn more about those.. :)
 
Do you want an all-in-one water cooling solution or a custom loop?

If you want a AIO, then get the h80i or the h100i CPU coolers.
 
does the mobo have wifi?.. i didn't see it listed in the features & that is something i really wanted.
 
No it does not, but you don't want a motherboard with that built in anyway. It raises the cost higher than a good stand alone unit and the ones that are cheaper are cheaper. So get this addon card instead.
