Just wanting a second set of eyes to look this over for me. Friend wants me to get a build list together for him in the $800 - $1000 range.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This is a gaming build, he's upgrading his current rig so he can play D3 when it comes out. That's it's primary use. I know the game isn't out yet, but the specs for the game have been released by Blizzard so we got an idea of what they at least recommend.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$800 - $1000 max
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Will be ordering everything off Newegg.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case, MB, CPU, GPU, RAM, ODD, PSU, HDD
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
1080P TV will be used for display. Believe it's in the 40" range. KB/Mouse will be used from the previous build, no idea what they are.
6) Will you be overclocking?
I intend to give him the option to choose whether or not he wants to overclock or not. I'm probably gonna set him up with the i5 2400, but I'm gonna let him know about the i5 2500k and the CM 212+ cooler.
7) 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1080P ~40"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
He wants to order stuff as soon as I get him a list together.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
He has no specific needs in a motherboard, but I intend to set him up with the z68 chipset so overclocking and onboard video can be used.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Will need a W7 license in the build.

Right now I am looking at:
i5 2400
8GB DDR3 1333
Asus P8z68
560 ti 448
hitachi 1tb
cheap odd
Corsair TX650W

Gonna let him chose his own case out of Danny's awesome list of cases.

Puts the total ~$960 without a case.

Which P8Z68 motherboard?

I'm fairly sure that you're gonna pick out the Hitachi 7K1000.D 1TB drive which is a good drive. But if you need to save a little money, you can drop the HDD down to the Samsung F3 1TB:
$127 - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

I think it's the P8Z68-V LE board for around $130.

I didn't even think about the F3, I'll go with it instead to save a few bucks.
