Hey guys, I'm looking to build my friend's dad a computer and I just wanted to make sure everything I have so far is compatible and a good deal. He's looking to spend around $900 for a decent gaming system, nothing top of the line but good for most games.

ASUS P8Z68-V LE Z68 and Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge bundle

He will still be getting a mouse and keyboard and monitor, but that's not too important. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Please answer the stickied "ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FIRST!" so that we can help you better.

Though that PSU isn't a good choice at all.

Sorry, I didn't see this first.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming(Call of Duty, Mass Effect, maybe some MMO's), web browsing.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$800-$1000, Yes, but depends.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Canada
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Fresh build: Motherboard, CPU, RAM, PSU, CD drive, Video Card, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Hard drive, case.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Fresh Build
6) Will you be overclocking?
Doubtful
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Not sure yet, was thinking 22".
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
As soon as possible
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
SATA 6Gb/s, crossfire would be nice, USB3.0, PCIe
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No, but it will be 64-bit

Also forgot to mention that this was the hard drive I wanted as well, the Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA 6Gbps.

Prelim build (no monitor, mouse or keyboard):
$190 - Intel Core i5 2400
$100 - Intel BOXDH67BLB3 Intel H67 mATX Motherboard
$54 - G.Skill Ripjaws Series F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM Combo
$160 - Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1GB PCI-E Video Card
$110 - Seagate 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$20 - LG DVD Burner
$64 - Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 520W PSU
$100 - Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit OEM
----
Total: $798 shipped

Notes:
- Since you're not overclocking, that Asus mobo + CPU combo wasn't needed at all. Since you're only getting a 22" monitor whose resolution is usually 1680x1050, you won't need Crossfire at all unless your friend's dad is the type that wants 300 FPS+ in games.

- The HD 5770 is a bit anemic for gaming on a 22". You want to aim for the HD 6870 at the least. Though if you have left-over cash, up the GPU to the GTX 560 TI.

- If possible, have your friend's dad actually go to the nearest computer store to try out mouse and keyboards. Considering that these are the two items he's gonna be using to interact with the PC, he should use ones that are comfortable for him to use.
