Well, so much for AMD dropping a bombshell. Nothing to see here folks...move along...go back to ordering your 970s and 980s.
Edit: It's a shame too. I was really hoping they'd announce something that would make me think twice aboit ordering 2x 970s. Let's be real though, we were actually hoping for a major announcement to come from a random conference in India...yeah, how did this idea catch so much traction, again?
If they don't have anything for us but this crap, I hope everyone learned that Roy@AMD #fullOfshit.

I think he mentioned there would be competition and people assumed there would be some major reveal at this event. Besides, he's in sales, and will likely say anything to retain customers. LOL.
IMHO, it was kinda obvious there wasn't going to be a reveal. No leaks. In India. Etc. Now there are rumors that they won't have a response for about 6 months.
Best thing I have seen announced so far.

I guess that is a big deal.
They found Ruby and apparently she's aged since appearing in her first AMD demos and shes also east Indian.

This.
And 390X in 1H 2015. Just in time for nVidia to own them with the 980ti. AMD, what a joke.

Why wasn't AMD prepared for the Maxwell? They had a year to do so.
Can't believe how easily they have conceded. What about price cuts?
What we are seeing here is the R&D focus for the the console design wins, as a result the discrete GPU tech has fallen a bit behind. But rest assured, with all of that money flowing in from all the console sales, they will have an answer to Maxwell for sure. But im betting that the full focus is on 20nm now, would be silly to release a chip so close to the switch. Bermuda @ 20nm will be awesome

so AMD is now choosing all these exotic international beach/resort locations for their GPU reveals?...Hawaii, Goa...is Rio next?
