8K feels like misdirection right now. Glad OLED is moving forward though.
 
I'm glad OLED doesn't have any issues scaling to 8K though. Quicker LCD dies off the better.
 
I'd be very happy with an OLED even just at 1080p, if it doesn't suffer from Plasma-like problems.

I hope we can get an OLED with Gsync!!! Without it I would be happy with 1080p, otherwise bring on the 1440ps and 4ks + Gsync!!
 
Yeah, variable refresh rate is mandatory now. We really do need a standard, though.

I'm not happy with AMD and Nvidia having competing standards for it. It won't truly become pervasive (as in, developers actually design games around the assumption of having variable refresh rate monitors) until it's just transparently supported by everyone.
 
I think there is a standard. From what I can gather, AMD's FreeSync is just a name for their VESA Adaptive Vsync support.
