Was taking some pictures at my friends' graduation when this happened:

Friend's mom: I don't like that bathroom sign behind her head, they should move

Me: Should be okay, it should be out of focus at this distance anyway

FM: This is a very good camera, everything is in focus

Me: .Uh, okay... *opens up to f/2.8 and starts shooting*

Yay for bokeh ;)
 
I dunno what kind of point and shoot she was using. I was using a 20D + 24-70L
 
I had a conversation like that - except my friend told me a dSLR was way too good for me. He's a photo major and was a little shocked to know how much I knew about camera systems...he actually sounded a little angry. :D

Funny stuff though, I put it right up there with people who use a flash while taking pictures through windows, or flash at night to take pictures of buildings 100s of feet away. :p
