My Heatware
Unit #1:
A Corsair RM750x. CWT made, single 12V rail, fully modular, 80 Plus Gold.
Like all of my review units, it came apart for pictures. Units like this is why every single one of my own rigs' power supplies have been apart... I found unacceptable soldering issues on the VRM board for the minor rails. Three SMD resistors needed some attention, and they got it - I've re-soldered them. Afterwards, the unit was stress tested for 45 minutes to make sure it stays working. No issues with that, but I'll guarantee the unit for the usual 90 days just in case.
Comes with all you see in the picture, and is cosmetically perfect.
Price: $85 USD shipped. - SOLD

A Rosewill Capstone G 1200W unit. 80 Plus Gold, Enhance built, single 12V at 100A.
This isn't what I'd call a performance leader in the industry, but it gets the job done on a budget.
No major issues were found upon disassembly needing me to fix them, but the line wire insulation needed some addressing. The black wire was fine - no danger of shorting out, so I left it alone. The white wire was another story. The melted insulation was too close to the fuse, so I added heatshrink to it to make sure it can never short out the AC line. She's all good now, and ready for many trouble free years. That said, I'd probably upgrade it after about 5 years or so - these Unicon capacitors won't give you too much more than that.
That said, I'm letting this one go extra cheap because of those capacitors. It'll get you by for a good while if you need a lot of power until you can afford a replacement.
Full retail packaging included. Cosmetically perfect, if you like bland looking units.
Price: $110 USD shipped.
