So, I decided to ditch my server and built a gaming machine instead. I built this for virtualization, but I never really used it for what it was intended for, so I'm looking to get rid of it all.
Here's what I've got:
SuperMicro X8DTL-iF (product link: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/QPI/5500/X8DTL-iF.cfm) with two Xeon E5520 quad-core CPUs and Enermax tower coolers (product link: http://www.enermaxusa.com/cooler_ets-n30.php these are the HE version without the LEDs).

3ware 9650SE-12ML http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116044 I have 1 SFF-8087 to 4xSATA breakout cable and 3 SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 backplane cables.
8x 4GB Samsung DDR3 RDIMMs pulled from HP servers, I've had 6 of these running flawlessly in the server.
2x 2GB Hynix DDR3 RDIMMs pulled from IBM server.
Buy everything, for $300.
