Hello, folks. I'm looking to get rid of another jonnyGURU review sample.
Today, I'm putting up my Corsair RM650. Fully modular, 80 Plus Gold. Built by Channel Well, this is not one of the models affected by the thermal shutdown issue plagued by the 750s and 850s in this line.
However, these do have a much more minor issue in that the jumper enabling +5V to two ATX wires was missing. As my past buyers have found out, as part of the review process I take my stuff apart for pictures. Part of this means using every bit of my 26 years of experience in electronics to fix any issues. Therefore, this is likely the only RM650 on the market with all five +5V wires to the ATX working. I added the missing jumper and double insulated the ground wire I had to de-solder and replace to install said jumper. Passed a thorough load test afterwards to insure working order... this puppy won't give you any problems at all for many years. Even so... if something happens inside of 90 days, I'll replace it.
