80GB now $149.99
When I clicked on the link at the time of my last post, it came up as $149.99. Now it does not come up at all?
100% chance. What are the chances of them being .10s?
100% chance.
7200.9 drives only go up to 8MB cache.
Is it true the 500 GB are a little bit on the noisy side? This is the only thing that stopped me from buying them. They are 7200.10s. I bought a half dozen 2 weeks ago.

interesting. I was almost positive that .9's were up to 8MB so I checked the data sheet on seagate's website and it didn't list 16MB. But it also doesn't list the 500GB drive. You sure? Newegg was selling 500GB 7200.9's that they said were 16mb cache.

Deal is going on for the 500GB Maxtor drives now. Many people have reportedly gotten rebadged 7200.10 Seagate drives from 'em. I didn't get so lucky the first time around, but I just ordered another drive. We'll see how it goees. . .
