Front page brought me here.
Sweet!
Let us know if you need any help.
If you have a dual or quad core... try to run the SMP client.
You'll need two standard clients to fully load both cores. If you install the SMP client, there are four processes that automatically use all the CPU power available with only one instance.I just did a quick download of the graphical and started it up with team #33.
task manager saying I'm using 50% of both cores. Guess I gotta load two instances to get 100% on both. I'll read up when I have more time to see how to get it going.

Yes, there's a GPU client. I have it running on my X1950 Pro AGP card. It is compatible with only a few ATI models currently. Mostly, the 1000-series cards, but not all are worth to run the GPU client. If you have a X19x0 card with 512MB, then you will have good performance. With that kind of card, you're looking at anywhere from 500-800PPD depending on the WU and overall system specs. If you are seriously considering to run the GPU client, just ask additional questions and someone will respond to you.did any type of client for GPUs ever get released?

I'm very interested in the new card support and anxiously awaiting the forthcoming beta release. The video card in my main system is a 7800GTX and I'll upgrade it whenever the GPU client receives support for the newer cards.it's supposed to be supported in the future in the 2x00 and 3x00 series as well....at this point, it may be supported in 6.0 beta 2, but i think it's a mix of driver support being needed and client support being needed....it is being worked on though

If I acquire a HD3870 X2 and the client receives support for the 3000-series cards, will it also recognize the dual GPU cores on the card since there's already support for multiple cards in the current client?

I tried the SMP but it wouldn't run as I don't have a password on my computer (and don't want one).
So I got the console client and have two instances running. Both cores are at 100%.
CPU temp after an hour - 48c. ambient temp ~78f
not bad.
My family has a history of Alzheimer's. (or maybe not - I forget)
seriously though it does.

You are eligible, check the sticky. Congratulations! But if I am wrong, I need my gen may for life!![]()

1.Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2.
2.Clear the Users must enter a username and password to use this computer check box.
3.Click Apply.
4.Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with, and then click OK.
5.Click OK again and you're all done.
Back on topic. The front page pimpage really helped. Looks like 39 new folders signed up in the last 3 days (44 counting Saturday)If we could get some advertisements like that once a month.....we could break 2M ppd by summer.
Here's a quick and easy way to have windows log on automatically with a password:
Code:1.Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2. 2.Clear the Users must enter a username and password to use this computer check box. 3.Click Apply. 4.Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with, and then click OK. 5.Click OK again and you're all done.
This will set a name and password for windows (you can use the same name as you do currently) and will log you on as if you don't have a password. Try it, you'll like it. Not to mention an exponential increase in your point production. You will have that lifetime genmay sub before you know it.
I should add this to the Guides section![]()
