I bought a MSI motherboard from ZZF and fried it during installation. I was wondering if it is returnable to ZZF (within 30 days) or to MSI under warranty.

I fried it during installation. I already bought another board to replace it so I'm in rush. I'm just wondering if I should bother with the process. No point paying shipping and handling and have them reject my RMA.

Unless there are obvious marks on the board, couldnt you claim it died during installation?

Worth a shot, at least email them and ask.

If it was your fault it broke, then no you should not RMA it. If it failed due to faulty manufacturing, then yes you should. People who return things they broke, jack up the cost for the rest of us.

Yeah, I agree. If you know you broke it, don't return.

chalk it up to stupid tax. Don't do it again.
