So I reacently got a new comp and just went to test my "old" mobo and cpu for potental resale.
The mobo is a elite group 848p-a with a p4 3.2 it started up fine for a second the one of the onboard chips got super hot super fast a mere second it shuts off and the dreaded smell of fried electronics hit the air.
had a vid card in and some ram and of course the cpu.
Was it just the mobo or could have the the vid card/cpu have been affected.
I know the memory works as it is in this comp.
Thanks
Rab
