Can I use one of these keys to create a new account without having to rebuy the game or do I just need to go buy a whole new one anyway?

You'll have to buy the game again. Once the keys with the CDs have been used, then to reuse those CDs (and have your own account) you have to buy the game again. Luckily you can get the Battlechest (WoW + TBC) for like $30 I believe at any of the box stores.

According to my referrals I've received the free month from, it's a lot less than that. Besides, the spammers don't need the referral codes to sign up.
