So my cousin's husband works for intel and he gave me a Free E7300 because he got one for free yesterday from work. I don't know what to do with it since I am going to jump the boat to I7/X58. What do you think I should do with it?
 
I don't know really, I might give it back since I don't need it. But since I know hes going to i7/x58 for sure I don't know if he really needs it. I will check if anyone in my family/friends really need it. If they don't it will be up for grabs for free, no dibs. Will let people know in 1 week.

If I don't give it away,put your name here so I can make a list of people on excel and get a random drawing that way. You won't be in line to whom gets it first, it will be a random draw through excel.
 
How about sell it and give the money to charity. Alot people are struggling and can use the help. Ex. Red Cross, Salvation Army or a local food pantry. Either way you can add my name to the list
 
No dibs lol, and I will not sell it. I got a nice second job that pays well and I only have to do it once a week. I have good income for my age. Also don't flame me if you don't get it because I did state that I might give it to a family or friend first.

Agreed. It always feels good to do something nice for someone no matter how small though. You can count me in too. I have been looking for an upgrade from my e2200 but tuition is killing me...

I work for a psychiatric center helping mentally ill and troubled kids. The funny thing is they are like 1-3 years younger than me. This job pays $12.50 an hour I work full time. Also I work as a secret shopper as my 2nd job that I got through a friend since she has worked for the company for 2.5 years. I won't say the names of the companies for confidentiality. The secret shopper pays about the same as my psychiatric center job. The most I will tell you about myself is that I am 18, freshman in college, and live in Oregon.

wtf is a secret shopper?
 
Thank you, I started working at the center about 2 weeks ago, and started working as a SS just a few days ago. So I have only gotten one paycheck from the center and the SS. I only got these jobs because of my network, references through friends, and family:D. A secret shopper is someone who goes undercover and "shops" at a designated store to check if their customer service, cleanliness, organized, efficient, ETC are in tip top shape. We then write a report about that store and send it to their corresponding company to let them know about their evaluations at that store.
 
Bah I will be jumping up and down across a few blocks to my friends to shout at him, "I GOT A FREE E7300!!!", if you sent me it. But come on now! I'm still rocking on a 3800+ x2. You're awesome for thinking about giving it away for free.

My HTPC has a 775 P4 and chugs a bit on 1080p sometimes, this would make a nice drop in replacement.
