ATI oems need to use recessed screws for the pci bracket.
I had to remove them.

I got one of them back in. The card is structurally strong even without them, I had a look when it was out of the case. The temp and power draw at idle is impressive.

I didn't even notice that one of the screws was hitting until I saw this thread. I've had the card installed for a few weeks now without any problems so I'll just leave it alone. Thanks for pointing it out though.

Definitely looks like a Lian-Li issue as I'm using a V1000 case.

It's probably a Lian-Li thing, as I encountered the same issue in my V351. I actually ended up removing the backplate and using those screws to stabilize the installation.

Crap.. I never paid attention to this with my A20B.. ill have to go back and look.

No problem with xFired 5770's in a Antec 900.

For problems like this, I have tons of spare screws. I assume shorter threads will sort you out?
Moral of the story, stash screws.

Not a Lian Li specific issue, at least not across the board. Both 5970s fit no problem in my PC-71.

Its not line they stick out like drywall screws. *rim-shot*
