anyone planning on picking this up?...I never played the console version released last year and even though it got average reviews I'm definitely interested in playing this...probably has to do with the Star Wars geek inside of me but I'm looking forward to playing a bad ass Sith apprentice...the PC version comes with a bonus level or 2 along with all the DLC...anyone else interested in this game?

I'm definitely interested but I don't pay full price for a single-player only experience. Especially when it has received less-than-stellar reviews. I'll wait until I can get it for $20 or less and don't think I'll have to wait long for it.

I might pick this up, even though I own the first one. Depends on how Dragon Age holds me over.

Same. It's a direct console port. No more. No less.

I always thought it was bullshit that they didn't release this on PC originally. However what we are seeing here is probably nothing more than another bad console port. No thanks.

this is not unusual nowadays...in fact it's the norm...consoles first followed by the PC version...sometimes the PC version takes a lot longer to come out (Mass Effect) and with some it's not as long (Batman: Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed 2 etc)

It's been long enough that I'd honestly forgotten about it and I've been focused on Borderlands and now Dragon Age today that this really kind of snuck up on me out of nowhere.

I'll probably get it when it's around $20 or so. That shouldn't be too long from now.

30 FPS hard cap. 28 GB installed. No AA. Not seeing any real pros here.

To be fair, I never finished the Force Unleashed on XBOX 360. I don't think the PC version will be much more appealing.

Ultimate Sith Edition contents include all of the previously released costume packs, the already-available Jedi Temple Mission Pack, a new Tatooine level (which will also be available as DLC for the original release) and the exclusive new Hoth level...

Hmmm this seems like a good deal for under $40 i think it's worth a shot. should probably be $29 though.

28gb for install is alittle large isnt? lol Ill wait till its cheap on steam, I never finished the 360 version anywhoo....

28gb.... that doesn't hurt me so much on losing the space, but on how long it would take to install! and how many disc swaps!!!

It was originally a console game so that's cool that they are porting it to the PC. I enjoyed it when I played it on the PS3.

I was wondering about this one as well. hopefully someone will post some pics or give their opinion after playing it :D

That has crap bullshit port written all over it..Why would this be 28GB when the console versions were about a quarter of that. From what Ive heard this is a DIRECT PORT of the console version with 0 enhancements..Hell Ive read there are NO graphic options and locked @ 30fps..Lucasarts can eat a dick!

locked at 30fps??...is this for real?

Word on the street is that the PC and Mac versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition lack configurable graphics settings, and the most basic of control configuration tools. Unexplainable pauses have also been reported, despite people's computers easily keeping to the game's hard-coded 30 frames per second lock.

No.... there is still some simmering anger from when LA claimed BF3 would provide too much competition against FU.

Turns out, anything would of been decent competiton against this game.

I'm hopeing to check this out some time. I don't expect it to be great but I honestly thought the PS2 version of the regular game was decent so hopefully I'll like it.

installing right now.. ill have some screen shots posted.. luckly one of my friends bought the game and not me.. so far 20 minutes into the install and still going.. though im not sure if i can blame how long its taking on the install or the fact that my cpu is at full load right now EON(distributed computing program)..

i watched him play the game on his system and played it a little bit.. dont care for it at all really.. horrible console port with a retarded key layout.. so this games getting returned tomorrow afternoon after i take some screen shots for you guys..

if you have a 360 controller the key layouts arent bad but i honestly prefer keyboard over game pad on everything except racing games so even though it supported it i didnt bother using it but my friend did..

ok so i decided to get a couple hours of sleep after installing the game.. it took 38 minutes to install with my cpu at full load.. so i have no clue if that effected it.. but i was ready to break something about halfway into it..

the entire first DVD is just the wmv9 HD stereo audio files.. everything else is on the second DVD.. seriously who the friggin hell needs HD stereo audio on a PC.. this right here automatically shows this was a direct xbox360 port to PC since the 360 requires WMV9 audio..

here are some screenshots i took of the intro video to the Hoth level and about 10 minutes of the level..

here is the album for all the images..

also for those of you wondering how many graphics options you have..
2licwo9.jpg

this is the only place you can change these settings.. also 2560x1600 is not supported.. and yes its locked at 30fps.. even my 8800GT at 1920x1200 never left the 30fps cap.. didnt even drop to 29fps.. sat there the entire time..
resolutions supported by this game are as follows:
800x600
1024x768
1280x960
1280x1024
1600x900
1600x1200
1920x1200

as usual being an console port there is no AA and if you look at the screenshot with the ship you can obviously tell this game needs it.. seems like they have a blur effect in the game to hide some of the edges..

my impressions of the game is.. it feels like a game for a 5 year old.. controls are very basic.. all you really do is hold shift and click the left mouse key really fast and you can kill pretty much anything.. theres no real special key combo's for different types of movements with the lightsaber.. also found a couple glitches where the enemy disappears on the screen but you can see see them targeted and you can kill them.. happened to fast for me to get a screen shot of it though.. but im going back to bed now and ill give it another shot after i get some real sleep..

Thats a bummer I was hoping the PC version wouldn't suck. I bought the original version on the 360 for cheap and I loved it. I guess I'll wait for this version to drop in price and pick it up again on 360 for the extra DLC stuff. Its a shame too. The pc version could look so much better than the 360.

all the extra DLC stuff on the 360 is in this game.. including the hoth level which can not be downloaded if you have the non sith edition..

Didn't this game get very dumbed down from it's original concept? I mean, I know a lot of games have this happen, but I read it was exceptionally bad with Force Unleashed.

I would like to try out the game, but knowing no effort was put into the port it would probably just be an exercise in frustration.

What makes me laugh... is that the last time Lucas Arts actually made a good game, it was still designed for solely the PC. Their efforts are just hollow now; they're more into the propaganda then what makes a game fun. Shame.

its not actually that frustrating.. the controls are very basic.. nothing fancy.. not a lot of useless keys to press to do stuff.. its so basic i think my 7 year old cousin could easily play it..

take a look at the screenshot of the graphic settings.. it shows just how basic the controls really are..

I have the original release on ps3 and I loved it. Never bought the extra levels so i'm planning on selling mine and buying hte ultimate sith version for ps3 again.

This game has the worst case of consolitis I've seen in years.

Do not buy, run away.
