LOL!! unlike you, I have 6 laptops folding 24/7 for a few months and they are running fine. The key is to make sure there is some airflow on the side (don't block the side vents).
However, it depends on which laptop. My stack are all business-quality ones and it's possible the domestic versions might not be able to cope. But you can adjust the load % to reduce the heat.

Yeah, you can configure FAH to stop folding when the computer is on battery power.
