Well... just my luck. I came home from work early becuase I feel like total shit today. I caught the flu. By thte time I got home, I was rather dizzy and found it rather hard to walk and such. So, i grabbed a drink and some medican, and then headed down into the basement to relax. Now, down in the basement I have a shelf about 5ft high, and there was a folder up on it. 2500+, nothing special, but it held its own. I set my drink down on the shelf next to it. However, the combination of it being dark, and me being disoriented, I missed the shelf. In an attempt to catch my drink, I elbowed my folder. Smash! It hit the ground fucking hard. Tore the case up good, ripped the heatsink out of its socket, which fell onto the video card and snapped that at the connector. due to nice thermal grease suction, the CPU came too. Pins bent to shit, few broken off. It's a real mess.
When im feeling better, ill see if I can salvage anthing. Im guessint the hard drive is toast, those dont handle falls well. I might be able to snag the ram out of it, but thats probably it. What an awesome fucking way to end my night!

. I had a few HD's lying aruond, and threw in a PCI video card. The PSU didn't work either, but I also had another one of those to swap in. Far as a CPU goes, I do have one that was donated for contest use that I popped in for testing purposes. System is running now. What strikes me as really od though, the onboard nic no longer works. Everything else on the mobo is fine, but the onboard nic refuses to work. Thankfully I had some nics lying about. Shes folding again. The case is in horrid shape though, looks a little odd. I may throw it in a old HP case.
