I was just wondering if Fluid XP is any good and if any one has had any experience with it.

Not at that price. If it were $4.99 for a bottle I might be tempted.

and if you use search I beleive you will find most of us underwhelmed.

I just use a 25% mix of antifeeeze. It has antifungal properties and anti corossive properties and you don't lose enough of the thermal transfer properties to worry about

PC ICE is the only one I'd ever use...

Fluid XP had some dye problems that caused gunking in small tubed radiators (read: any flat tube designed ones).

I'd stay away from it.

A 5% mixture of antifreeze with distilled water is the perfect solution, and if you're worried about leaks get the PC ICE stuff instead.

would I better off just going to my local Wal-Mart or Auto Zone and picking up some Water Wetter or Zerex Super Coolant and mixing it in the right proportions with distilled water? Would mixing any of these coolants still make it non conductive like the distilled water alone? Distilled water is non conductive isn't it? Because there's no extra minerals or impurities that conduct electricity? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Any non-conductive fluid is only initially non-conductive. Eventually it becomes conductive by picking up impurities. Most here don't hassle with non-conductive fluids. They're expensive and not something you can just run to the store to get. If you just use distilled water and 10% coolant mixture, be careful, and use some common sense, you'll be fine.

Distilled water + water wetter will work, but if you go that route you'll want to add some sort of biocide. I personally use Swiftech Hydrx and IMO it works well. A $3 bottle will make a liter of fluid for you.

Yes, see above, I run (for years) just distilled water in a clean system without any issues at all.
Not true there are free ions in distilled water that will conduct, its more non-conductive than salt water but still conducts and it will be quickly contaminated by the metal parts of your loop.

Get over the non-conductive bit, its mainly marketing bullshit . You dont want leaks of any kind and its very easy to make the connections tight by just using the proper components and using reasonable care. Leak test before running live.

Do a search and find the precleaning of components threads.

Swiftech Hydro works fine for me only $2.99 from Jab-tech with .50c of Gallon of Distilled water. But Hydro will make one littler of coolant for you, but still cheap and excellent.
