Flex Riser Cards?

I couldn't quite figure out what forum to post this in, so here goes.

Has anyone used one of these?

I would like to use one of my 1x PCIe slots that is covered by one of my video cards.

Do flexible riser cards like this typically fit under a video card in a slot that it blocks, or do they require more clearance?

I tried asking that before and got zero answers. I bought one of these for the same reason. I have another video card coming to test this on a spare motherboard but I have a feeling were are SOL man.

That would be useful for my currently smothered HDMI capture card that i can't use because my 6950's are swallowing one my ports.

Hmm..

I took a second look at the Amazon page, and read the one review posted:

Does the job that I need it for. My graphic cards sort of cover this slot and I needed something that was bendable to work around them. Wish it was a little longer because I've so many graphic cards in my case that it was difficult to find a place to put the card since the cable wasn't long enough to bend around too far. So I used a few zip ties and used the grill of the case to secure the card into place.

Looks like it might have fit under this guys video card. No idea what kind it was though...

I wish I could find the link to the build, but I have seen those flex risers used to connect 7 dual slot GPUs to a single ATX motherboard. Unfortunately, the ones I remember the build using were custom made. That said, it looks like the ones you posted would have a low enough clearance to fit.

I asked about these a little bit ago and the mods moved it into the video card section. The flex risers work, you just need to buy a good quality one. I didn't end up buying one, because I didn't want to risk burning out my current video card. I was looking into a 16x flex riser, a 1x one is probably a little simpler.
