Finally diving into watercooling heres the parts i have picked out. I will be cooling the rig in sig and will then move the set up over to my new PC that i will build in a couple of months. Do you think it will be enough to cool down at least a OCed x1900xt? and what ever AMDs flavor of the month cpu is? i will OC heavly and might get xfire.
DD TDX/ DD D5 combo
Black Ice XtremeII Radiator
10ft of Tygon
Swifttech radbox kit
Swiftech MCW55
Swiftech MCRES
I will buy the clamps at home depot anything else that i missed? or any advice on the parts that i picked? i will be buying most of the stuff in a couple of days.

I fail to see why you'd choose the Swiftech GPU block over the Maze 4 GPU block as it's going to require tubing adaptors for the Swifty for 1/2" Tygon and the DD block has native barbs...

The rest looks fine and should be plenty for the future setup.

Switch the rad to a Black Ice Pro II. You can use lower powered fans this way.

Will there be any difference in performance? Do i really need a reservoirs or could i just use a T-line and a fillport? I am not sure how well a res will fit in my Lian li

T-line and fillport will work fine, just take longer to bleed the air.

Depending upon what type of fans you were going to use on the radiator you may see no drop in performance going to the BIP or you might see an increase or decrease. Unless you were going to use powerful fans the BIP is the better choice.

I was going to use my sunon 108 CFM fans on it but even turned all the way down they are kinda loud so i was thinking of switching to quiter fans

If you want quite your going to be better off with the BIP2 then. As far as the res goes... a tline and fillport would work, but I like that res. You can see pics of it in my system here. It's very small, you shouldnt have to much trouble finding somewhere to put it.

OH thanks for the pics that helped out alot. I can see now that a double 120 rad does fit up top and that res is pretty small. Yeah i want some thing a little more quite will switch to the BIP2 then. Thanks for all the help guys :)

ditch the black ice and go with thermochill or the double heater core

Because Black Ice radiators suck and you should spend $100 on a flippin rad...

I would say double heater core, but they are a pain to mount, etc, and after fittings and whatever system you devise for mounting fans to it, you could easily buy a BIP2. Plus, heatercores need noisy, high output fans to reach their potential. The BI radiators are more than enough for average joe, considering the thermochill might get you maybe 2 C of improvement. I'm quite happy with my BIP2.

Hey Viper, how did you get that awesome blue color in your water?

Ok so heres what i bought
DD TDX
BIP2
DD Maze 4
10ft of tygon
Swiftech MCRES
Swiftech Radbox kit
Swifttech MCP655
I bought every thing at WWW.Performance-PCs.com because they had everything i needed under one roof

please let us know how it goes ... update with pics

what was the final bill .. seams like a lot

cheers,

mal

How do you have that res mounted?
