I normally don't have to ask for help when I am having problems, but my first shuttle is being a real pain. I got a SN95G5V3 (NF3) and in it is a 3800+ dual core. Now, when i first power it on, the cpu is reporting stupid high temps. Like upwords of 100C. Now, logic tells me this is no where near true, as this CPU would cease to exist at 100C, so my guess is that ive got a pre-dual core support bios and its just getting a funky reading from the CPU. The problem is that auto shutoff keeps kicking in because it thinks its so hot.
So, I figured I would try to update the bios and pray it made it through before autoshutoff kicked in (i could usually make it 5 minutes or so, so figured i would be fine). SO i download the latest bios and awardflash, and throw them on a floppy. Went to flash, and awardflash is telling my my bios file is not an awardflash bios.... yet when I turn the PC on it sasys award bios clear as day at the top of the screen.
Anyone got any suggestions as to what I could do to get this system working?
