First PC Build, Beginner Qs

I decided to switch my boot drive to a SATA 2 port and no more hang-up, so there's some kind of interference with the SATA 3 port when booting since the new BIOS. Pretty weird since the SATA 3 works fine otherwise it's just on the boot up, maybe I'll give ASUS support a call and see if they have a solution, it's still not letting me install the new SATA driver.
